Whether you're contemplating taking the plunge and getting the Pro package, or think the free version will suffice, then maybe we can explain the major differences or similarities. For a start, every package whether it's free, Internet Security or Ultimate all come with the same antivirus functions and also include link protection (hyperlink scanning for websites and social media), but unfortunately this is where the similarities end. The free version doesn't include password protection, online shield or free support. The paid Internet Security suite DOES include these features. The Ultimate Pro then takes it to the next level, where you get all of the above features plus an added bonus of anti-spam, shopping protection, priority updates, and Mac and Android support.

AVG’s customer support works slightly different to other antivirus, they offer 24/7 technical support for any of your devices for on the PAID versions. - I guess a sales tactic to sell AVG Technical support to new customers. Their consultation is decent for solving virus issues or other technical issues you might experience. They’ll walk you through installation once you have purchased their product.
